Full Name: Aldo Januário de Oliveira
Nickname: “Caveirinha” in Portuguese means “little/small skull”. Januário, diminutive and slender during his childhood, trained in the adult class, which prompted some of his training partners to give him the nickname "Caveirinha." Additionally, there was an incident where a friend silk-screened a skull on Aldo’s gi jacket, leading Januário's teammate, Helio “Soneca,” to emphasize the use of the "Caveirinha" name.

Professor Aldo “Caveirinha” Januário, born into a modest family in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 9, realizing it was his true calling and a pathway to a better life.
At the age of 20, Professor Caveirinha attained his Black Belt and went on to establish his own academy in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His journey in Jiu-Jitsu has been marked by exceptional dedication, leading him to achieve the prestigious rank of 5th-degree Black Belt—a distinction reached by only a few in the Jiu-Jitsu community.
Despite a promising future in competitive endeavors, Aldo made a deliberate choice to focus on his genuine passion: teaching. His dedication has resulted in the mentorship of numerous champions, showcasing the enduring impact of his commitment to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu education.
Professor Aldo Januário is actively engaged in a social project in Brazil, empowering underprivileged children through the practice of jiu-jitsu. He firmly believes that jiu-jitsu can instill discipline, confidence, and crucial self-defense skills, serving as a deterrent from the pitfalls of drugs and violence. Beyond the martial arts aspect, Professor Januário provides practical support to his students, including provisions for food, clothing, and educational assistance, with the goal of shaping a more promising future for them.
