Aldo Januário, widely known as "Caveirinha," is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Carlos Gracie Junior, a globally recognized grappling coach. Caveirinha embarked on his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at a young age and, at the age of 16, relocated to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where he initiated his teaching career as a purple belt. a pivotal prelude to his subsequent accomplishments. 


Notably, at the age of 20, Professor Aldo achieved the rank of Black Belt under Carlos Gracie, Jr., marking the beginning of his influential teaching career at his own academy in Belo Horizonte.


Within the grappling community of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Caveirinha played a pivotal role in nurturing and developing some of the most accomplished competitors in the grappling world. 


His influence has been instrumental in shaping some of the most notable figures in the discipline. Among his accomplished students stand names like Rafael dos Anjos, Philipe Della Monica, Rodrigo de Freitas, Gustavo Saraiva, Igor Araújo, Cesar Casamajo, and Maycon Carvalho.


Several of Caveirinha's students, such as Paulo Henrique Costa and Rafael Dos Anjos, have emerged as successful MMA fighters, standing out in their careers. 


Over the years, Professor Aldo's unwavering dedication and expertise have earned him the esteemed rank of 6th degree Black Belt—an accomplishment achieved by only a limited number of Jiu-Jitsu masters. His influence has transcended borders, overseeing the promotion of over 300 black belts in various countries worldwide. This underscores the far-reaching impact and enduring legacy of Professor Aldo Januário. His significance within the Jiu-Jitsu community goes beyond the success of his students; it extends to his role as a mentor and advocate for the art on an international scale.


Professor Aldo Januário is actively engaged in a social project in Brazil, empowering underprivileged children through the practice of jiu-jitsu. He firmly believes that jiu-jitsu can instill discipline, confidence, and crucial self-defense skills, serving as a deterrent from the pitfalls of drugs and violence. Beyond the martial arts aspect, Professor Januário provides practical support to his students, including provisions for food, clothing, and educational assistance, with the goal of shaping a more promising future for them.
